LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics , a division of luxury house LVMH, announced its collaboration with global specialty materials provider Eastman (NYSE: EMN) to develop packaging using Eastman's molecular recycling technologies. Parfums Christian Dior is the first of LVMH's major heritage houses to introduce Eastman Cristal™ Renew copolyester, with 30% certified recycled content*, for its Dior Addict Lip Maximizer packaging, hitting shelves this summer. Eastman and LVMH will continue to work on sustainable packaging solutions across LVMH's family of distinguished brands, with additional adoption expected in the coming months. “Our collaboration with Eastman marks a critical milestone in the progressive elimination of fossil fuel plastics from our packaging.
With our recently published LIFE 360 programme, we made the decision that our packaging will not contain plastic from virgin fossil resources in the coming years,” said Hélène Valade, LVMH director of environmental development. “ Eastman 's innovative molecular recycling technologies play a crucial role in helping LVMH achieve our sustainability goals. We are embarking on our journey to achieve our Anhui Mobile Number List objectives, with our first deadline in 2023, we need solutions that are currently available and on a global scale, ensuring our clients experience these benefits immediately,” reinforced Valade. Introduced in late 2020, Eastman 's portfolio of sustainable resins for cosmetic packaging builds on its long history of innovation and knowledge of the cosmetics industry. Eastman 's innovative advanced circular recycling technologies produce resins from mixed plastic waste instead of fossil-based feedstocks.
These innovative molecular recycling technologies divert waste plastic from landfills, giving new life to plastic waste and reducing greenhouse gas emissions relative to traditional production. With Eastman technologies , brands can meet their desired recycled content goals, while maintaining the premium aesthetics and function that luxury consumers expect. “LVMH is achieving a leadership position among luxury brand houses by taking strong steps to achieve environmental excellence. “We are proud to work with LVMH and provide the technology and products that will help them meet their circular economy goals,” said Scott Ballard, vice president and general manager of specialty plastics at Eastman .
